A YEAR AND 2 DAYS LATER!

Ok, so I am a complete slacker on updating this website, we have received numerous complaints about the site being outdated so I figured it was time to STEP this shit up. Step has been continuing to Step up the program over the last 12 months, writing and recording new material for a demo that is to be released for promotional purposes in mid July. No, we will not be selling the new recording as of yet and hope to be using it as link to acheive the means to record a full length record under the support of label. But if you are really fucking cool, and can convince us to give you a copy in some sort of way, e-mail me and we'll see what we can do. In further news, our song entitled "Oceans of Lifeless Ashes" was released on the Westcoast Worldwide II compilation on Westcoast Worldwide Records. The comp features 27 bands nation wide so make sure you pick it up. I got em for sale here. Contact me if you want one. Otherwise if you run into Mikey Hoods out there somewhere, especially during the Hoods upcoming tour with Gwar, then pick one up from him. Two Bags Full Productions was nice enough to add two tracks from our "Anticipation of Letting it Go" CD to the soundtrack of their newest skate, surf, moto, snow video release "The End Of The Beginning". We were able to travel to Hollywood and take the stage at the infamous Roxy Theatre for the video premiere. I have 4 words to describe that experience "rockstar for a day". I will be updating the shows page with all the dates we book for the summer, make sure you come check us out! JUNE 28 2001

-Summer Update-

Things are going strong for Step right now. After appearing in front of a sold out crowd opening up for Red I Production's ever popular Humboldt County Freestyle Kings in North Lake Tahoe last week. Step played the front stage for 600+ people at the 2001 Lake Tahoe Locofest Benefit for the League to save Lake Tahoe. The crowd at Locofest was definitely bringin' on the mosh during Step's performance, which required some security reinforcement to keep things in order! Previoys to these two great shows, Step returned from their successful 2001 West Coast Summer Tour where they played with some great bands including Canada's Burden and Boston's Embrace Today. Step played shows in Northern and Southern California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, as well as British Columbia. Thanks to all those who helped Step get the tour together, all the bands Step played with and everybody who came to check out a show. If you missed Step this time make sure you check them out the next time they come around. Plans are being made to tour extensively during the summer of 2002. Step is currently writing new material in addition to other unreleased songs to be recorded sometime in the early winter of 2001 forming the follow up to the "Anticipation of Letting it Go" MCD. Summer booking is in the works as we speak and there should be an update to the shows list on this site within the next week. Make sure you check back to see what's going on.
